So glad you found my home page.
This is my little piece of the online sky.

I am a work from home Writer, a Poet,
a wrangler of Prose, and an avid Dreamer.

Everything I do is an effort to perpetuate the dialogue of dreaming -
Night dreams, daydreams, memories or visions of the future…
…..

‘Society is in a dream drought’ (Robert Moss)
‘We have forgotten the metaphor’ (Marion Woodman)

Separated from the myth – We have lost the ancient knowledge
That allows us to read our own book

We have forgotten that we are blessed with the gift of dreaming
Forgotten that we came into this life through the door of a dream ~
…..

A Little Bit About Me…

I am inspired by words –
How they wrap their legs around the clouds
Stretch their arms across leaning fields
Words of all kinds – round ones, soft ones, subtle,
alarming and kind

I mostly write about the things that stir within me
Things that urge me
And send me out at night
To attend crazy dreams

Mostly I want to inspire others to do their real work’
by just doing mine

Yellow leaves
Paper Moon
Blazing sunsets
Riding shotgun
In the sky

I’ll race you home or at least to the end of the page

Sunday Morning Vultures / Nicole Rushin Photography

Sunday Morning / My encounter with the vultures, the feeling of watching and being watched and coming to terms with writing to an audience. In the case of blogging – writing for a list of subscribers. I now consider the Vulture to be one of my animal totems and a huge metaphor for opportunity.  Shortly after I wrote this I found a buzzard feather in the laundry room. I still have no idea how it landed there.

Balancing / Nicole Rushin Photography

Balancing / A poem about choice and getting off the fence. This was written at a very pivotal time for me. (no pun intended) Sometimes when you hold on to a dream too hard you can choke the life out of it and you end up focusing on lack. There was a great lesson to be learned in allowing inside this post for me.
